Casual sex has increasingly become acceptable with shows like Sex & The City, Nip Tuck and more recently, Channel 4's Sugar Rush pushing the envelope further than most contemporary dramas. This liberal attitude to sex on TV has led to a more liberal attitude to sex off-screen and with that, an increased risk of sexually transmitted infections.So why has our increased openness about sex failed to translate to an increased awareness of the possible dangers of casual sex?
