The nation's favourite cleaning ladies, Kim Woodburn and Aggie McKenzie are launching a major campaign to get Britain’s cat and dog loving owners to clean up their act!

Most pet owners do not realise that dogs and cats can get wiggly worms called roundworms, or Toxocara, in their gut and the eggs they produce can infect people – especially children under 5. There are few visible signs and, in fact, only 6% of the nation’s 5 million pet owners worm their pets enough.

Around 1 in 4 dogs have sticky roundworm eggs in their coats too and veterinary experts have suggested that monthly worming is the only way to maintain good pet care and hygiene - and the country’s formidable cleaning girls, Kim and Aggie, agree!

We all know what a rewarding experience it is to have a pet, and keeping our pet clean - inside and out - is all part of that loving relationship. The Big Wiggly campaign encourages owners to seek advice from their vet regarding worm control. Vets endorsing the campaign will be offering owners plenty of advice on care and prevention.

It is incredibly simple to treat pets for roundworm. A tiny vial of a liquid spot-on treatment squeezed onto the back of the neck protects the pet for 1 month, and also provides flea protection too.

Kim and Aggie join vet Carrie Passmore live online on Monday 10th October at 14:15 hrs to discuss pet health and cleanliness
